'Together We Are Good' was set up to give the community a chance to support Abu Dhabi Government’s efforts to address the current health and economic challenges. Launched by the Authority for Social Contribution – Ma'an, the programme is bringing together our community. It is opening the door for financial and in-kind contributions from people and companies to offer a helping hand for everyone in our society.
"As the world continues to go through extraordinary and unprecedented times, the UAE remains in a strong position to mitigate risks and limit the impact of global challenges on the national economy and the health and wellbeing of everyone thanks to the early precautionary measures taken by our leadership. It is imperative for individuals, the private sector and the civil community to join and support the government’s efforts to ensure that the nation continues to be on the right path to get out of this crisis with minimal losses."
Chairman of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi
“This is the time for our community to show the strength of our solidarity and unity. We urge individuals, the private sector, and civil society to think about how to contribute. Support will not be limited, and anyone who believes that they are able to contribute can contact us. The Social Fund is prepared to receive contributions of any size, whether big or small, and we will continue to work tirelessly with our government partners to distribute resources based on priorities.”

‘Together We Are Good’ is the first project of Ma’an’s recently launched ‘Social Fund’, the official government channel to receive contributions from the community to tackle pressing social challenges. The programme will allocate these contributions through relevant partners, with priority given to medical and educational aid and food supplies.
By taking small steps, we all can make an impact.

The programme directs contributions according to the social priorities set by the Government of Abu Dhabi as it steps up its preparedness to respond to the impact of the current health and economic challenges. Working alongside relevant partners, the funds will be put towards providing educational and medical aid, as well as food supplies and basic living needs.
Ma'an was established in February 2019 by the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi with the aim of bringing together the government, the private sector and civil society to support a culture of social contribution and participation. The authority will deliver solutions for social challenges with five main pillars of work – a Social Investment Fund, a Social Incubator, Outreach Management, Community Engagement Programs and the introduction of a new type of public contracting, Social Impact Bonds.
Ma'an will support the third sector to flourish in Abu Dhabi, enabling responsible not for profit associations or foundations and social enterprises to contribute to the development of strong, active and connected communities. Ma’an Authority for Social Contribution is a 'Ghadan 21' accelerator programme initiative, supporting Abu Dhabi to become one of the best places in the world to do business, invest, live, work and visit.
Hundreds of people from all walks of life have come together to show their support through financial contributions, in-kind donations and volunteering. Businesses have pledged money, goods and services while individuals - including doctors, retired military personnel and various other specialties – have offered their expertise.
We thank each and every individual who is lending a helping hand to support the community in this moving display of unity.
Through ‘Together We Are Good’, Maan stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the government, companies, non- profits and other organizations to support our community.
Their financial contributions, offers of practical help, ideas and resources are helping support vulnerable members of our community in light of these pressing health and economic challenges.
It has been incredible to see such a spirit of unity in the face of these pressing times and we thank everyone who has been part of our journey so far.
